With the introduction of computerized radiology, NICH has progressed to provided state of the art medical services at the bedside of the patients, the hospital has entered a new era of provision of urgent medical care. Both the Neonatology ward and the Medical ICU now have this service which helps the doctors readily gain access to the patient radiology images, saving precious time in decision making that significantly impacts patient outcome. Previously the doctors had to wait anywhere from 60-90 minutes to gain access to these images which are now available within minutes of exposure, for the medical specialists to review and take early life saving treatment decisions.
