COVID-19 FACILITY

Responding to the Covid -19 pandemic, NICH Trust established a 20 bedded Covid ward/ICU in April 2020. This facility helped save hundreds of lives of children who would otherwise not have access to a pediatric covid facility. It served children from as far as Baluchistan and most of the patients were from interior of Sindh, since this was the only pediatric facility for this pandemic in the entire province available for the masses in the public sector. At the same time, it was ensured that the staff had proper PPE’s and other safety measures in place so as to ensure continued safe provision of healthcare by the hospital.
