IV DRUG PREPARATION PHARMACY

A dedicated IV drug preparation pharmacy has been established which has enabled the hospital to provide a BioSafe environment for the preparation IV medications. This has resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of IV Drug therapy at the hospital and also resulted in substantial savings in IV medicine expenses. Drug dosages in children are calculated more accurately and drug interactions are avoided and this has markedly improved the IV drug therapy quality at the hospital. Over 50,000 doses of medicine are dispensed from this pharmacy every year.
